The Acura CDX: A New Acura Crossover?
If you’re like the team at Acura by Executive, you’re always excited to hear about a new Acura car. Whether you’re looking for a family car or a model that delivers incredible performance, there’s something you’ll love in the works. It’s no secret that luxury crossovers and SUVs are in right now, so it’s no surprise that the Acura brand could be developing another small crossover for the American market. It recently renewed an American trademark for the Acura CDX, a model that set the Chinese auto market on fire.
The Acura CDX made its debut in 2016. It’s been speculated that it could end up making its way to the United States eventually, which would be a great idea for a few reasons. The luxury crossover segment has only gotten more popular over the years, so there’s definitely room for the Acura CDX in the United States. The Acura brand also sells even more SUVs than sedans, so it could do well here. The Acura CDX also made a huge difference in the Acura brand’s vehicle sales in China. This one vehicle doubled the brand’s sales!
The Acura CDX in its current form is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that can produce 179 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and it’s available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. If it comes to the United States, you can expect similar stats. We’ll keep you updated about the latest Acura CDX news, so keep an eye on this blog!

I’m waiting for this car to be available in the USA. Please confirm if that’s the plan.
How can Acura not do this in North America? I’d bet a CDX will outsell all Acura sedans combined. An A-spec version would continue the excitement the RDX version has brought to SUVs.
I’d love to see the CDX here in the US. But it’s unavailable, so I’ll end up buying a Subaru, Honda or Toyota subcompact SUV.
Why is this car not being marketed in the US?
I hope the CD will come out this year 2020.
My lease is up in September and I want one.
